These monthly summer concerts, co-hosted by 102.1 KPRi, take place from 6-9 p.m. ![]() Musician Alex Woodward performs the opening act during at 2008 Green Flash Seaside Concert. Music lovers ages 21 and older can enjoy live music and panoramic ocean views on the aquarium's stunning outdoor tide-pool plaza. Savory happy-hour appetizers, craft beers and wines are available for purchase by Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. Forty percent of proceeds are donated back to Birch Aquarium at Scripps. For its fourth season, Birch Aquarium at Scripps continues to expand its musical line-up with a sophisticated mix of national performers. Admission includes the concert, entrance to all aquarium exhibits and parking. Keep an eye out for a real "green flash," a rare optical phenomenon caused by refraction of light as the sun sets on the horizon.
