Explore the Seashore through New Coast Walks with Birch Aquarium at Scripps

Explore one of the world's most diverse intersections of land and sea during new Coast Walks offered for groups through Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego.

Trained aquarium naturalists will guide groups of 15 or more on a journey along the breathtaking La Jolla coastline. Enjoy invigorating salt air and admire dramatic settings while learning about local beaches and their history, marine life, birds, plants and geological formations. The guided tour is 90 minutes long, and the walk does not exceed two miles.

This program is designed for larger groups looking for a unique way to learn more about the ocean. Birch Aquarium's Coast Walks are perfect activities for birthday celebrations, business retreats, senior groups and community organizations.

Coast Walks cost $15 per person, or $21 per person if paired with a visit to Birch Aquarium at Scripps (a $5 savings off the regular admission price). Groups cannot exceed 50 people.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public exploration center for the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the aquarium features more than 60 habitats of fish and invertebrates from the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest to the tropical waters of Mexico and the Caribbean.
