About NewsfeedsWhat is an RSS newsfeed?Newsfeeds allow you to see the latest in Scripps Oceanography News whenever we add a new press release without having to visit the Scripps Oceanography News website. How do I get started?It's easy. First of all, you need a newsfeed reader. The reader periodically checks the feed for any new press releases. If it finds something, it simply adds it to your list. You can use a news reader through your browser (like Sage) or you can have a separate program whose only job is to check for news. It can display the latest news as a screensaver, in your menu bar, or almost anywhere you would like. Here is a list to choose from.
